<h3><a href="http://winshipglobal.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/m3301729-fractured_neck_x-ray-spl.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-728" title="Fractured neck, X-ray" src="http://winshipglobal.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/m3301729-fractured_neck_x-ray-spl.jpg?w=253&#038;h=300" alt="" width="253" height="300" /></a><span style="color:#000000;">In reading the book, What time Tuesday by James Tomasi I realized that we tend to live in our pain.  We often do not reach out for the help we need until the pain gets extreme.  It is at this last hour we look for solutions, and in many cases it is too late. The pain is real, it comes in form of emotional wounds and may even have some physical manifestations.    In the book, a real testimonial James experiences pain that is so extreme he plans his own suicide. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">The book explains that the brain sends healing signals and operational instructions to the body to ensure that it functions in a healthy manor.   What struck me is that in my own life, having had severe head and neck trauma that many of my decisions in life resulted from the injury.  I realized that even business and relational issues came from the pains I experienced.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">In our society we have been taught to medicate, and put ointments on top of the pain in hopes that it will go away.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">We proscribe self help books, go to doctors who proscribe the latest and greatest medicines to numb the pain, till one day we ourselves become numb to simply fall asleep while our dreams die.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">This is the condition of organizations and business concerns today.  We are medicating but the real healing is not happening because we have learned to avoid the pain instead of dealing with the roots.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">The root cause of most business failure has to do with a fractured neck.  The head is like a bowling ball on a broomstick trying desperately to survive.  The issue is that most business concerns have learned to be so politically correct they have lost their love or passion that once existed.  The head is so full of pride and arrogance that it lost its ability to communicate and develop the community that once supported the work.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">I know a lot about this because that is exactly how I built a multi million dollar business.  Pride and arrogance ultimately took its toll and the head hit the floor.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">In reflection, I look back and value the rich learning experiences that came out of the pain of failure, and now help others to abort that end result with great success. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">THE SOLUTION: Straighten up.    Realize that you have a body dependant on the head and that the head needs to be in alignment.  If you are in business with your wife, and you have a fracture it is unlikely you will survive.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">I illustrate this example where for many years a business concern was operating and doing fairly well, till suddenly our economy  much like an X Ray exposed the crack between the husband and wife.  The crack was not evident until the radiation illuminated the fracture.  The wife was managing contrary to her husband, and the employees were slaves to the fear of this estranged woman.  The husband was exhausted and ready to simply check out. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">When we performed our &#8220;scan&#8221; to expose the cancer, we realized the fracture was at the neck of the business concern.  The husband was headed in one direction and the wife another.  In the middle of the fracture were all the employees playing the blame game and taking advantage of the cracks. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">The business was going down. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#641c91;">Fortunately, with some skill and fierce communication we were able to bring the pieces together and reposition the staff, to have what we now see as a healthy and thriving ongoing concern</span></h3>

<h2>Today people have more choices about with whom they do business, and customer loyalty is a challenge.  There are more choices especially in the wake of the internet.  It occurred to me in a conversation with a new friend that we must to learn create strong connections and that as we develop our friendships that produce confidant recommendations that there are no substation for what I will call FUSION connections.  The idea is that as we spread our nets wider we can easily miss the more significant relationships that lead to ultimate success.</h2>
<h2>Looking at a net, a physical net helps us to really understand connections.  The net connects at certain points, each point is either a passage or cross road or a FUSION experience.  I think at each connection point there is a light, and when both people allow their light shine in a most transparent way we become FUSED together.  We think of the world wide net, all the social media sites like www.facebook.com and www.poracle.com it appears to me that we must move deeper in our relationships if we are to move into significance and influence.  When you develop a relationship, the depth of that relationship will determine how your interactions produce.  Each person you meet is capable of speaking life or death as it relates to you and your product or service you might represent.  I suggest you employ everyone you meet and intentionally develop them as friends who speak life.</h2>
<h2>First, a mindset shift may need to occur as it relates to relationships and the how to move that relationship from simply crossing paths to having a fusion experience that is useful to them and others.  Let me try to define for you the difference between people of influence and those who simply just cross paths.  The influencers know how to FUSE relationships while the other simply crosses your path.</h2>
<h2>Love, genuine and intentional cultivation of the other persons agenda is very helpful when you want to increase your relationships.  One of the key ideas that must exist if you are to increase in your influence is to see others greater than you see yourself.  I takes high esteem to submit to authentic humility and really know on a core level another person.  You will notice that as you humble yourself and make it your priority to really understand and know another person you tend to increase in your authority.</h2>
<h2>So how does this all work?  It starts when you respect another person and tune into their priorities and boundaries.  When you are concerned about the deeper aspects of  another person they are instinctive about sharing.  When you are invitational, meaning that you invite others to go deeper with others they voluntarily go to places they would never go otherwise.</h2>
<h2>When you are a safe person, you exercise wisdom in building and Fusing your life to others, simply you connect for a life time.</h2>
<h2>Below you will find some experience in action where you see Bill (They way I used to do things) to William (The way I do it now)</h2>
<h2>Bill walks into his prospects office, meets the secretary asks to speak with the owner.  Bill is in a hurry, forgot to tuck his shirt in and has a coffee stain on his shirt.  He has not trimmed his finger nails, and his shoes are muddy. The secretary instinctively senses that bill is there to waste the time of her very protected owner.  She is pleasant, smiles and lets me know that he is busy.  I then use some gimmic handing her a flyer, that she graciously accepts but with a bit of annoyance would simply like me to go away.   I could care a less what she thinks cause she is not the decision maker&#8230; but in this case I go to the next victim.  We are talking casualties here.  This is not a Fusion Experience.</h2>
<h2>William walks in behind Bill, notices that the secretary is a bit frustrated. William has trimmed his nails, clean shaven and wearing his best watch and his shoes are polished and clean.  The last thing she wants is to be sold anything.  William looks at the secretary and notices her name is Sally as prominently positioned on her  desk.  William points to the name plate and says, Sally what a beautiful name, and she smiles.  He sincerely smiles back at Sally and says with a great degree of sincerity that he has stopped in today to learn more about her company and build a relationship.  She immediately lets William know that it is not her company, and that the owner is busy.  William smiles back and suggests, that he understands that it is no her business but that she represents it very well.  She smiles again and is encouraged.  William then looks on her desk and sees her family.  William compliments the beautiful family and once again Sally smiles and brings the picture from her desk to William and tells him about her new grand child.  William shakes Sally&#8217;s hand and with soft hands, and eyes acknowledges that it was a pleasure to know her and would come back at a more appropriate time.  Sally then requests a business card from William so that she can deliver it to the owner.   William acknowledges the gift of her time and assistance.  Sally is blown away because this was an uncommon experience.  She could see William really cares about her, and that if he cares that much this would be a great person to introduce to the owner, who happens to be her husband.</h2>

<h3>He (the conductor) is too busy working to see what is really happening on the train.  He has no idea that the people on the train are busy doing little of nothing to support the needs that will ultimately demand his attention.  Without notice, the conductor is headed for a train wreck.</h3>
<h3>Evidently, the train that has been working forever is now becoming more obsolete, and in a few moments of time will be replaced by the aircraft and other forms of ground transportation.</h3>
<h3>The idea that you can miss your train should create an internal awareness that it is time to think and do things much differently. We can no longer simply look at a balance sheet and know the condition of the company.  Things a more complex and require that we know how to measure and evaluate everything from the human capital to the number of widgets in inventory.</h3>
<h3>Many consultants would have other offerings, and suggestions that might help, but a competitive market we need to know more precisely where we are headed, and the condition of our people who are part of the journey.</h3>

<h2>Have you ever met a sales person who tried to sell you something you did not want or even need.  Maybe you really wanted the item but just did not want to be sold because you were already convinced that you wanted the product but instead of buying it from that person you went somewhere else to get the same or similar product or service?</h2>
<h2>The main difference in approach that works sometimes and works always is the character of the person you are dealing with.  Your character is not easy to mask, you either care deeply for the client of you care more deeply for your own gains.   The idea here is that we are headed into a new year with many new challenges.  Some will survive this season of rapid change, others will keep doing what they have always done and end up in failure mode.</h2>
<h2>The business community is not interested in hype or promises.  They want measurable changes that impact the bottom line and increase human potentials to peak performers.  This kind of work is not done with a Magic wand or theory, it is accomplished by hard work, concentration, focus, determination, commitment and ultimately skill to move a broke down donkey to high achievement.</h2>
<h2>We have developed  proven strategies that come from years of experience and testing to develop what we are calling a <span style="color:#ff9900;">Poracle™</span> culture.  This culture integrates studies from a variety of sources and brings organizations to accountability and peak performance.  The best part of the process improvement is that it is measured to ensure optimal growth and focused efforts.</h2>
<h2>The word <span style="color:#ff9900;">Poracle™ </span>is actually a combination of two words, portal and oracle.  The word portal refers to a clear window to see both the eternal projection of your organization of business and the current state of affairs.  The idea is that you can travel to a higher position in management we call the Steward Leader, and navigate back into your organization or business and model the Servant Leader. The oracle is two fold, it is operating with high integrity and communicating that message internally and externally.</h2>

<h2><span style="color:#000000;">In organizational growth it is essential to create a culture of transformation that would be safe to communicate the most troubling behaviors.  Trust in organizations have fallen to an all time low, this concern brings us to a moment where we must do things differently.</span></h2>

We are faced with a need in most organizations and business to actually reinvent at a core level.  <em>The idea of just growing should not be the focus, but growing from a healthy core and with a mission that connects to larger community is.</em></span></h2>

<h2>It is with great trepidation, hesitation and risk that we bring to you this cutting edge idea.   Many companies today struggle with the NEED to train their sales people to achieve higher and stronger influence in the marketplace.  This need comes  often with high costs.  Often the challenge to get the training that will bear fruit is insurmountable, and simply never happens.</h2>
<h2>We have been studying the MLM business model, also known as Direct Selling.  This model has in so many ways been misunderstood, much like the social media when it first started becoming a credible tool for growing enterprises.</h2>
<h2>The MLM or Direct Selling companies have earned a reputation that fortunately is evolving to what many people are discovering as being a REAL tangible and viable source of revenue.</h2>
<h2>Let me clearify a myth so that those of you that are reading this do not confuse this article with me trying to sell you some product that you do not need.  The model that I am speaking about is simply increasing your influence and growing relationships.  If we never sold a single product or attained revenue from the work of MLM or Direct selling, the compensation in form of great new relationships is worth the work.</h2>
<h2>While we can not endorse specific companies we have located a few that are on the cutting edge of changing the culture once known as a bit hokey.</h2>
<h2>We have decided to experiment with a few of these companies and even be considered a bit ODD.</h2>
<h2>It is our experience that being an ODDBALL is actually quite good, it provides you opportunity to be on the cutting edge of what many might scoff and wait and see.  This wait and see approach is interesting to me as I look back in the drifts of my past and watch the naysayers of my past trying to paddle  to catch up.</h2>
<h2>I do admit, the perceived risk of failure was in our minds greater than the reward, but the concept needed to be tested.  I now am convinced that MLM or Direct Selling is here to stay.  While this model of business is not currently a big part of what we do at Winship Global Alliance Group™ I do see some real advantages.</h2>
<h2>Advantages:</h2>
<h2>The training opportunities are incredible, you can find high achievers who will point you the way to achievement.  Many and most of these people are high yield earners that have skills that most corporate leaders would envy. These people have learned through much trial to build their business.  These ideas and contagious enthusiasm is relevant to the traditional business model because the attitudes of these great leaders can rub off.  These people are simply not quitters and they operate with precision.</h2>
<h2>Interpersonal communication skills are increased because of the association and the activity it takes to build an organization.  The bottom line shapes character.</h2>
<h2>The dross of your life is ultimately removed, especially as you relate to integrity.  Each person who is involved in a Direct Sales or MLM company is challenged to tell the truth and those who don&#8217;t fail.</h2>
<h2>Finally, I have learned that those who are involved to &#8220;Get Rich Quick&#8221; actually build your organization, and leave just in time for you to achieve even greater success.</h2>
